Dr Kate Baker is a clinical geneticist and programme leader at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit. As both a practising medical doctor and researcher, Kate works with individuals who have neurodevelopmental disorders with a known genetic origin. Her interest lies in the connections between genes, the brain and mental health. Her work spans many levels, from the cellular through to behavioural - and places the experiences of individuals at its centre.
